DESCRIPTION:The travelling art and science exhibit by the Unseen Ocean Collective is heading to the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport\, Oregon. Experience the deep ocean through immersive sculptures\, colourful acrylic paintings\, detailed illustrations\, and video installations. The artworks are inspired by video footage and research on the deep waters off America’s coast. The exhibit runs Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm. \n

DESCRIPTION:The international community is invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 8th International Symposium on Chemosynthesis-Based Ecosystems (CBE8)\, from 14 June to 18 June 2027 in Horta\, Azores\, Portugal. This symposium continues a long tradition of bringing together researchers\, engineers\, students\, and stakeholders working on the diversity\, functioning\, and significance of ecosystems sustained by chemosynthesis. The symposium will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of hydrothermal vents. Click the link below for more information\, including the seven session themes. DESCRIPTION:INCISE (International Network for Submarine Canyon Investigation and Scientific Exchange) is pleased to announce the 8th Submarine Canyon Symposium\, which will take place in Rome\, Italy\, in June next year. his cross-discipline approach allows scientists to collaborate and initiate a holistic approach to canyon research. The biennial conference brings together 80-100 geologists\, biologists\, engineers\, oceanographers\, ecologists\, and environmental managers. Early bird registration and abstract submission opens 11 January 2027.
