The 8th International Marine Conservation Congress will be held in Edinburgh in November.  There are several relevant sessions for the DOSI community, including The Intersection of Marine Knowledge and the BBNJ Agreement to Advance Novel Policy and Stewardship. Following the adoption of the BBNJ Agreement, this session will explore how scientific discovery and knowledge sharing can operationalise the Treaty’s conservation mechanisms, highlighting policy innovation for deep-sea and other ecosystems beyond national jurisdiction. The event brings together marine scientists, conservation practitioners, policymakers, educators, students, artists, journalists, and community leaders working across research, policy, management, communication, and community engagement.
