DOSI Deep-Sea Round-Up
There’s big news in the Deep-Sea Round-Up this week as we announce three new DOSI team members. Sponges, corals, and other invertebrates are making waves in the research this week, but there are plenty of positives for backbone fans too as a new beaked whale species is revealed. Other topics include an investigation of the Late Ordovician mass extinction, letters to the WTO and parties of the UNFCCC, and an examination of protests at sea against deep-sea mining.
There are still plenty of events left at the COP26 Virtual Ocean Pavilion, so make sure to keep an eye on those exciting developments. Finally, this week’s Round-Up features a number of opportunities for travel grants, funded research, and more. Take a look!
