Ready to dive in? This week’s Round-Up is the second-to-last before we take a two-week break for the UN Ocean Conference, so we start the issue with a reminder to submit any urgent news or publications by next Wednesday the 22nd. Particularly interesting papers this week include a piece by our friends at the Deep Ocean Observing Strategy (DOOS), a look at the electrosensory system of a chimaera, and a surprising collection of animals found along a deep-water pipeline.

There are also some especially exciting job opportunities this week: If you’re in the market, make sure to look into the listings for a Deep Sea Animals Research Associate and a Public Engagement Strategist. Finally, don’t forget to submit any news or publications you may want to share in issue 19 of Deep-Sea Life by July 15th. You can read the details here.

Enjoy!
