In this first Deep-Sea Round-Up of the festive season, the UN Ocean Decade Virtual Series heats up, a number of papers describe deep-sea species new to science and deep-sea mining is once again in the spotlight, with the news that the United States are becoming increasingly interested in seafloor minerals.
