DOSI Signs World Climate Statement
Working groups join leading aquatic scientific societies to call for urgent cut in emissions
The Deep-Ocean Stewardship Initiative (DOSI) Climate Change and Fisheries working groups have joined over 100 aquatic scientific societies in calling for drastically curtailed global greenhouse gas emissions to avoid the worst impacts of man-made climate change to fish and aquatic ecosystems. Led by the American Fisheries Society (AFS), the statement highlights the irreversible impacts to freshwater and marine ecosystems, fish, and fisheries from climate change, unless urgent action is taken.
